Indifferent Vibrations: Of Piezo’s, Crystals and Chakras

Had an interesting conversation with Eleanor today about her project, she mentioned a guy called Friedrich Jurgenson - http://www.fargfabriken.se/fjf/life.html

Basically this was a creative type who began hearing voices on recordings – he even has a frequency named after himself.

Tech wise today was frustrating, I couldn’t resolve the reasons why the earmarked slowdown software wasn’t working and made no significant advances, save that we made some interesting observations about the piezo’s while using them to measure vibrations coming from Rampant rabbit vibrator. The small penny sized piezo’s register 0 as their high point of vibration, while the wider than the larynx version register 1023 as the high point. Also we observed a potentially interesting phenomena whereby the piezo would gradually climb or decrease in value (depending on which piezo was in use) the longer it was held on a vibrating source. This is interesting in that it suggests an accumulation of vibration equate to a build up of piezo electronic electricity. This is quite interesting RE crystals potential to also exhibit piezoelectronic properties, especially given the close association of crystals with near eastern practices.

Somewhat related to this strand is the realisation that if we do go with piezo miccing, then miccing the chest and throat actually has allusions to chakras that we should capitalize upon

Another conclusion reached by our experiments, but potentially not wholly scientific was that vibrations were more easily registered on my larynx than Lisas. This may be because I have an adams apple, or it may be because Lisa was short of breath due to asthma
